Master’s program "European Public Administration"

In the context of advancements in European integration, this program’s goal is to provide students with a deeper understanding of the administrative, legal and social structures and methods, of the politics, the economy and culture of the member states of the European Union as well as the European institutions.

This program of study provides you with key professional, methodical, personal and social qualifications, which will make you fit for Europe. Your specialized knowledge of communications, law, economics and organizational structures enable you to work competently for the advancement of European integration. After completing the program of study, you will be able to assume staff and cross-divisional functions in the management of large administrative bodies. As an expert in European public management, your assigned tasks will be found at different administrative levels in the European as well as the national realm.

The master’s program was successfully accredited in 2004. The master’s degree provides access to the executive level of public service.

During the 4-semester cooperative program of study, you are enrolled at both the University in Ludwigsburg and the University in Kehl.

You begin your program of study on 1 October with the 1st semester at the University in Ludwigsburg and continue with the 2nd semester at the University in Kehl. 
The 3rd semester involves an internship abroad, which is generally done in a member state of the EU.
You choose the study site for the 4th semester based on the supervisor of your master’s thesis, i.e. either Ludwigsburg or Kehl.
